For a block of time, quote the day: $2,000 standard, or $2,200 principal. Half-day minimum unless you are already on a retainer. Licenses, hardware, and travel are billed as they are — never buried in the rate. These prices are for the architect, not a help desk.

Architect time is $275 an hour, $225 on a defined build for an existing account, or $325 for principal, after-hours, or first-engagement work. Day blocks are $2,000 or $2,200.
